AlQaholic
All the six policies wordings involves words such as "becoming a moral society", "propelling towards" and so on....Does this mean that the Moral Center is actually aware that there is no morality in Thai society?? Is not morality one of the very cornerstones of Buddhist teaching?? Edited March 27, 2015 by AlQaholic

Prbkk
The danger in this is not so much in the proposal as in the fact that they appear to believe it...and as opposed to the expected hype and spin that is quite scary.

Popular Post phoenixdoglover
In the US 30 years ago we had this supposed "Moral Majority". They were neither. I would throw out the "6 policies", and replace them with One Central Concept for the new Constitution: The Rule of Law. Which consists of: - equal protection (basic rights for all people) - equal application (same treatment for all citizens and visitors) - due process (no shortcuts to justice) - Impartial judiciary - transparent (open to view and criticism) - right of representation, humane treatment and appeal - right to refuse self-incrimination (no more "reenacting the alleged [sic] crime" ) Edited March 27, 2015 by phoenixdoglover

sgtsabai
Wait until the "definition" of dear leader's morals comes clear. Farangs, enjoy your Pattaya, ladies, booze, farang bars now 'cause I have a very bad feeling that is exactly where this bunch of troglodytes are headed. Should make some of the troglodytes that crawl out of their holes from time to time on TV happy. If you think dear leader doesn't like us now, wait until he gets back from his trip to the UN and has to face the press there.

Baerboxer
Nothing about respect the law, obey the law, no corruption et al, ad nauseum Cloud "cuckoo land" does exist Unbelievable. Remember one of the PTP former ministers said lying was ethical! The finance minister thought lying o k if they're really just little white ones. Seems like they were only saying what everyone else believes and does anyway. Until the bulk of Thai people accept that lying, constantly, never admitting you're wrong. making up any old answer and claiming it's right and refusing to admit anything you don't like is right, then these issues will persist. And if anyone thinks these policies will do anything about they're living the dream - or is it nightmare?
