Nightlife in Korat?

Featured Replies

The bar in the basement if The Mall

Maybe 10 years ago. There are now other options.

The Check Inn, The Beer Garden and the George and Dragon are in the center of town and are all within 100 meters of each other.

Sorry I don't know the street names but they have an internet/Facebook presence so Google is your friend...

Last time I looked the George and Dragon had been forsaken, totally bereft of customers, they'd all moved to the Check Inn.

However this big city has remarkably few night spots. Got plenty of good quality restaurants tho'.

What? Tawandang, U Bar, the Mix, 2 Piece, Hip Bar....to name just a few, all good for clubbing, why do say its short on Night clubs? Maybe you don't go out after dark....hmmm

I just opened another thread, old photos of Korat, and there added a few more pics.

The Oasis at 3120 Dech Udom Road, Nakhon Ratchasima 3000 isn't too bad with live music and almost live girls...

It seems Kenny, Dannyboy and mango need to know. Fishbowl has many slang meanings, as previously noted. Some say it is where the ladies smell like they just came out of a fish bowl; others think it is where someone sticks their head in a fishbowl and has women urinate on them. However, fishbowl, in terms of viewing ladies, gets its name from girls sitting behind a glass divider. The ladies usually wear a number for quick identification and are often seated on a wide stair-step-like platform for a more optimum view of their assets.

Did the Check Inn move there from Sukhumvit?

No it went to Soi 11 Sukhumvit.

If you really want to know about night life in Thai cities then Google red cat. Very good for girly info on provincial cities and food drink and music.

Yes, there's a fish bowl in Korat as well. Pretty fair line up, so I'm told.

Soapy Massage Parlors in Korat

As mentioned earlier, the majority of hookers in Korat are working in the massage parlors. In fact, this city has the highest number of soapy massage parlors not only in Isaan but in all of northern and northeastern Thailand  see Redcat link below

There are a few soapy in Korat.  The Ginza and Osaka are best, 20 girls lined up,  cost about 1300baht.

the check in bar had a change in ownership and now called the Monkey Bar,  .

Korat has a great nightlife just like I said Thai Style. There are several universities there and if a guy cant get boomed there, then they dont deserve to anyways.

Thank you for sharing the photos with all of us.

It's great to see what things used to be like,

as compared to how they are currently...

Those must have been the days to cherish,

as today it's hard to get others to stop looking at their phones long enough to have a conversation.
