I got windows 8.1 a while back and when I set everything up I was duped into setting up a Microsoft Administrator account.

I have now found out that I should have opened a Local Administrator account.

So I opened a Local Administrator account but it seems rhat I have to set up all settings again to use it.

So I have two questions--1 What are the pro's and cons of a microsoft account as opposed to a local account. Is it worth the hassle of changing everything now.

and ---2 Is there a way to transfer the settings from my Microsoft account to the new local account.

Pro, your contacts and settings, apps, etc. can sync across all your machines. You also get a lot of space in onedrive. I got like 30 gigs somehow. Don't really see a downside, actually.
