Late for 90 day report

Featured Replies

Hello I need to report to immigration for 90 days report by tomorrow. Trouble is, due to work, I can't make it today. And last I checked immigration offices weren't open at the weekend. Having a quick scan of the forum I found a thread saying it was 500B per day late. However it was from last year so not sure what the current situation is. Also is online reporting an option at for me? Any ideas or help would be appreciated! Thanks.

*edit This is in Bangkok

You can report 15 days early up to 7 days late without a fine. The late fee is 2000 baht, not 500 baht/day. The 500 baht/day is for overstay which maxes out at 20000 baht.

Great, thanks for confirming Wayne.

FYI, you have seven days after the stamp in your passport to report - BUT, remember that Thai officials count the date in your passport as day 1. So, if the report date in your passport is the 16th, you have only until the 22nd (not the 23rd) before you slip into ovrstay. Because of an oversight - OK, rank stupidity if you must - I was 3 days beyond the 22nd. Jomtien immigation fined me 2,000 baht. It did not effect my visa or work permit.

Immigrations will be closed on Monday 6 April. for Chakri Day.
