Two of these things recently popped up around the pond at our house, in both cases its just above the surface of the water on the pond wall. To touch it feels like the consistency of fairy floss/cotton candy but a bit more crackly if that makes sense. Im thinking its some kind of spider egg nest, or something similar, just thought someone whos been here a while would have run into it before and be able to give me a positive ID, crappy photo but you get the idea:

Frogs!.... but not sure which kind! Best to get out of the pond ....wink.png

Thanks, you mean get the nest out? I feel like letting nature take its course, I was even going to let them go if it meant a couple of hundred spiders crawling around, give the geckos a feast. Unless of course you think its dangerous.

Yep, frogs. We had one like that at the concrete pond at our other house.

Must be the tree frogs, or more land dwelling ones, I saw a couple of them around the other night, very noisey, probably mating calls so its all making sense! Just wasnt expecting it to be frogs as in Australia the frog eggs look like little tiny clear marbles with a apple seed in the middle and they just float on the water. Curious how these ones work, tadpoles fall out of the foam like stuff into the water?

You're welcome!

Up to you as to how many croaking frogs you want around the house when the "foamy bubble hatches" ~! tongue.png

You could take it for a long ride find a pond or ditch with water ,.... and find them a new home! whistling.gifwink.png
