Running over to Toys r Us this morning to see what have they.

wondering if some more experienced TV family members can offer other suggestions of places to check out.

I'm preparing for the imminent arrival of mother and our 5 months old and we need EVERYTHING

Bottles

Diapers

Formula

Stroller

Crib

Baby food

Toys

Bouncer / rider / walker

Any suggestions or experiences are welcomed and greatly appreciated.

IS (I think) which is located in the business park at the rear of Big C (superhighway branch). There's also the children's/baby department at the Central department store airport plaza.

All of the large western supermarkets have big sections selling, slightly cheaper, nappies, bottles, formula etc.

Thanks loaded. Actually bought a few items at Robinsons in airport plaza today. Decent selection of pretty much everything baby related, but a bit pricey. Will do some more shopping around and look for the bargains

Hit up the IS baby sho, best baby store I have seen in CM so far. IS baby Shop in the Chiang Mai Business Park is open and quite impressive. They have a big selection of pretty much everything. We just bought a jumper, car seat, booster seat, and some other odd bits there. You can drive out of the rear exit from Big C Extra and you are on the correct street in the business park. IS baby shop is 100m down that road on the right.

Robinsons: Had a couple things that no one else had, but the prices are insane even after bargaining down the commision

Big C: Cheap no name bottles, cheap diapers, cheap enfalac formula

Went to Central Festival today. They had a quite impressive selection of toys, and developmental play things. Although I have to say it is all ridiculously overpriced. Sophie the giraffe, i tiny plastic squeaky teething toy was selling for 1200 baht. Stay far away unless they are having a 75% off sale. The same bouncer i paid 2900 baht for at IS Bay Shop was selling for 11,000 baht! They wanted 950 baht for a single phillips avent sippy cup. Carters outfits that i buy in north america for 5-7$ usd a piece were selling for 1500 baht each.

Basically same if not higher rip off prices as Robinsons, but more selection in toys. :(

Tesco...

<deleted>. They actually had huggies brand diapers! But they were randomly placed next to laundry detergent and only came in one size (extra small). Some good deals on chinese toys and devlopment aids. Cheap enfalac formula, random baby stuff like diapers and formula peppered throughtout the store. Very confusing, but priced right.
