Frosted glass spray can - where to find

Recommended Posts

Has anyone seen frosted glass spray? It comes in a typical spray paint can and is used to make clear glass more opaque to help cut down light.

American-based products of this are Krylon and Rust-o-leum. A good crafts shop might have it so it you know of any pass it along. Thanks in advance.

I had a similar problem. I wanted to frost two stories of clear glass on my stairs that look down on my neighbor's junk. Finally, I got a glass window installer to come out and install thin panes of frosted glass inside over the existing glass. Looks great. Didn't cost that much and also deadens sound from neighbors. Of course I thought of the spray can first and wasted two weeks on that.

Stick-on 'frosted' film from many outlets incl Baan&Beyond but tricky to apply for the novice. There may be some home window tinting ppl out there who can supply and install.

DIY and contrary to written instructions, float the film on with soapy water using a squeegee to evacuate air bubbles.
