dslocum
The first thing I noticed about the "hidden" video is how quickly a relatively large group of people rushed in to put out the fire. Were they simply waiting outside the door for camera's sake? Hmmm. Sounds a bit fishy to me. Yeah, and about those fire extinguishers. Hmmm. Nobody used them? Oziex1
She was lighting fires right under their noses and they didn't notice. Just blamed superstitious mumbo jumbo. I hope there's more to this story, than the incredible stupidity of those involved..
BSJ
"Some said the fires were caused by spirits and advised the home owner to perform supernatural rite to drive away spirits in the home. " But were the spirit in a bottle bought at 7/11?
kiwikeith
"Yesterday, a group of "hermits" arrived at Lom's house and informed him that a child ghost has been haunting his family and setting the fires. Lom organized a ceremony to dispel evil spirits on 26 April, in which at least five monks known for their necromancy skills were invited, yet five more blazes were reported later that day.' Later channel 8 later exposed how non existent these skills were. After only 150 fires they became suspicious and channel 8 threw some light on the mystery! mango66
An off topic post has been removed, this is not in the UK. I was highlighting that arson is considered a serious offence, and should be treated similarly in Thailand. I think the owners of Central World would beg to differ. Arson is not a serious offense in Thailand, as there was absolutely no criminal investigation of the red shirts torching it in 2010. maybee she were there too, and now she just practicing for the next red shutdown of a mall ?? Lupatria
Since last month, 150 fires have been reported in the home. …the governor of Phatthalung Mr Winai Buapradit, Phatthalung governor also went to the home to investigate the cause of the fire. Is there any minimum education and skills required to become a governor? Several government agencies came to inspect but no formal inspection was carried. Some said the fires were caused by spirits However no scientific test has ever been conducted to find out the exact cause "hermits" arrived at Lom's house and informed him that a child ghost has been haunting his family and setting the fires. How many of these morons does it take to change a light bulb? 151! One on the ladder to hold the bulb to the socket and 150 to turn the house around. It makes me wonder they don't worship man made ice cubes anymore as unexplained miracles.
katana
In Thairath of 30/04/15, 32 year-old Kittiya Sakwan, son-in-law of the house owner, was interviewed about the fires and incriminating video clip, which appeared to show Kittiya's wife, 35 year-old Wanthana Singrueang, as the culprit.Kittiya adamantly denied that anyone in the house was responsible for the the fires and threatened to sue Channel 8 and their technical specialist for the incriminating video and for suggesting it was the work of his wife.He went on to say that it was he himself who had asked his wife to separate out the bundle of clothes there into a smaller bundle as a precaution to the bigger bundle catching fire [sic -que?]. She was interrupted by their daughter waking up so got up and went into her room, the bundle catching fire 7 minutes later. [it was actually 15 seconds later from the clip]. Reminds me of the UK Enfield poltergeist in 1977 which gained considerable press attention at the time, where a family claimed to be haunted by ghosts, but it later turned out to be faked. The Deerhunter
The family (or at least several of them) were obviously in on it too. Not possible for her to have done it 150 (200+)?? times & not be caught in the act. What some people will do to get their 5 minutes of fame. The two who sat there while she lit it..... Duh! Obviously money in it. Were they taking up collections to pay the monks & hermits and keeping most of it, of was it just for fame? P.S. I am sure one of hose burn marks on a cushion looked like the Virgin Mary! Or was it our lady of Fatima?

I am still not sure if it is lunacy, money or potential fame that brought this particular sad episode on.
