Visa run

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I came to Thailand on a 60 day single entry visitors visa with the intention then to get a 30 day extension so I can stay a total of 3 months.
I now want to stay for 4 months.... is it possible for me being a New Zealand citizen to do a border run just before the 3 months ends then re-enter Thailand on a normal 30 day visitors visa?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you take a flight to Malaysia and back then you get 30 days, and then you can by 30 days extra (1900 Bath) more in Immigration and get 60 days total, but you most take a flight, Border run give you only 15 days whit bus or taxi.

But where you live or stay ?

It`s that right Ubonjon ?

At a border crossing you will only get a 15 day entry. But you can extend it for 30 days at immigration for a fee of 1900 baht.

The same in Phuket Immigration to ?wai2.gif

So you're saying if I leave the country via aircraft and re-enter I will get 30 days again, and if i leave Via bus/car I will get 15 days but can but an additional 30 days, is that right?

1 other question, if I was to fly for example to Malaysia and then flew back to Thailand the same day would I have any issues?

Where you stay ?

like Ubonjoe wright, so you have 2 different rute its up to you. Bat a take the last plane from Phuket 23,00 and back 07.00 from Malaysia next day, now problem and god luck my friend smile.png

If you live in Phuket the same or you travel from Bangkok the same.(Bad English but you ander stand) wai2.gif

Either crossing can be extended by 30 days at any immigration, for 1900 bath. Just choose the easiest one for you, no issues either way.

Good luck.
