Whatever became of your first Thai girlfriend? After the break up..

Recommended Posts

I had 1st Thai GF on holidays for 4 years. Then she started working as a maid, so couldn't go out with me. Life as a maid was so horrible she went back to the bar as a service girl. I used to drop by once each holiday just to say hello, but when I got married that stopped. We didn't correspond or anything, and I have no idea what she is doing now.

While it lasted she was lovely, and we had a few beach holidays together.

Posters that claim all BGs are awful are just ignorant.

She was not completely honest with you.........I was in her books too. As nr 1 as well.

Sorry, she said you were No.8, I was definitely No.1, the OP was No.23.

After a 2 week romper stomper in Pattaya. I met my first love 'Mint'.
I went back to her bar the next day and we fell in love. After a whirl wind romance a Tattoo on her bum saying I love Dave. We moved to a small condo in Pattaya. She got bored of the expat life eventually and left me for an 17 stone German named Heindrick.

Moral of the story is. You can take the girl out of the bar. But you can't take the bar out the girl.

I'm bored of Pattaya now, too expensive. Trying out the Thai scene instead. Better prices. Better looking too.

Is it possible to get the bar girl out ot the bar man?

My first Thai girlfriend was in her mid-twenties and worked in a travel agency on Sukhumvit. She was quite tall, slender and attractive. Her English was fluent; she had gone to college in Singapore. We dated for over two years while I was stationed in Saigon and made regular trips to Bangkok for business. We broke up because she found out I had a Vietnamese girlfriend too. I married the Vietnamese girl. Several years later, after my Vietnamese wife and I divorced the Thai girl and I began seeing each other again. By this time, she was passed her use-by date and had a child with a Thai man. I just didn't want the baggage; so I ended it.

2011. She worked in Siam Paragon and was great fun for a few months. I met her on Khao San Road when I was out with a few mates from work. Nice girl and very attractive but her English wasn't enough to sustain much of a relationship.

No idea what happened to her. She changed name / deleted her Facebook.

I am still with her. There was no break up. But, I really took my time getting to know her. And it paid off. Most Thai women are constantly pushing the time agenda. And we need to push back. It takes a long time to really know who a woman is, what she is all about, whether or not she comes from a decent family, and if she has the kind of mature, emotional development you would want to commit to. We have now been together for 12 years, and every day with her is a great day. Smart, fun, pretty, light hearted, super supportive and affectionate. What more can a man ask for? She is pretty, but not a stunner. Stunners are nothing but problems.

First and only girlfriend and is still my first nearly 4 years later. I made a big point to myself when I came here first and decided to be alone for a long time without any short time shenanigans either. That actually paid off as whilst I was single I did have a few dates with a Laotian and a kibd of hiso Taiwanese woman and then I met the Mrs and we escaped from bkk and that decision I think was the best one we made at the time.

So this is your first and only girlfriend.

It’s not really answering the question.

You should have said she ended up with a virgin who took her out of bkk and it was the best decision she made.

In respect of the actual OP question.

First Thai girlfriend.

So yes in regards to being a Virgin with a Thai woman. Very true and I hope it was the best decision for her as it was for me.

First trip  to Bsngkok from the US almost 50 years ago- young guy with about  $1000 cash in my pocket. First Thai girl I ever met was from a place called the Thai Heaven on Petchaburi Road-  this was a nightclub with 200 Thai  escorts all pretty girls who were available to 'date'.

I managed to spend the whole $1000 on girls from that place. Never bought anything other than beer and entertained ladies There was no Nana Plaza or Cowboy - there were a few places on Sukhumvit and some after hour places/ Hotel cost 50 Baht per night with air and TV.  Large Beer was 40 Baht.  Taxi's had no air conditioning and of course no one heard of a meter. Average farm girls or those working good jobs were afraid of foreigners and spoke no English.  They would smile and runaway.

I found the girls to be pretty; limited English and real smiles and  honest. The normal payment was - up to you.   I didn't speak any Thai but loved the place and vowed I would be back and retire in Thailand.

Fast forward almost 50 years- 3 marriages to Thai women- one divorce and one died and now married again to a Thai and retired in Thailand.  I have no idea of the sheer numbers of ladies that I have been entertained by- but  more than enough to gain an understanding of how they think and how they act-   I must say this -most have been up front but the ones who haven't cost me plenty- money and heartache. (80% Good- 20% Bad)

Would I do it all again- Oh- Hell yes!!!

There was one Thai girl who I took home from the Beach Club in KL and every night after that she used to come round to the hotel, we’d go get some food then she would spend the night. Lovely, lovely girl , went by the name of Natalie ( i did have her Thai name in my phone for a while ).
We stayed together for 3 weeks ( about 12 years ago) then my job was finished and I went back home, we both knew it was a temporary thing, i guess she went back to plying her trade at the Beach Club. I did call her a couple of times, not sure why, i guess I did feel some affection for her and just wanted to know if she was okay ( just call me Mr Naive ! )

My first proper Thai gf and i are still together after a little over 3 years.
Met her in a restaurant and never looked back, hopefully she will continue to look after this stubborn old farang for a long time to come !!
