Considering buying a near new Toyota car with balance of new car warranty.

Thought is to part finance 50% & balance own funds.

What would be requirements & rates applicable ?

Any pitfalls?

Make sure you know that you will pay VAT for everyone of the payments. So effectively you interest rates is 7% higher

You sure about that? I thought the total car price was reduced for VAT and then the VAT was added back again to the monthly payment.

OP, I have financed two new Toyotas through the dealership on a retirement visa using a Thai as a guarantor. You can also finance with a work permit. The toyota finance rates are excellent and depend on the amount financed. If you are 65+ you cannot get financing from toyota or a Thai bank. One exception, if you complete financing contract with toyota you become VIP member and the 65+ exclusion is waived and you can buy with no money down. The rates at tents are more expensive.
