Beware Phetkasem around Thawi Wattana

Featured Replies

Hey team, wife got mugged at 10:30am this morning while crossing the road at Phetkasem by the Thawi Wattana canal (around Phetkasem 60). Went to the police, they have had 3 reported similar attacks since Monday in same area. Motorcycle, full helmets, swoop up on someone waiting on the footpath for a taxi and swipe the handbag. One time they doubled around and came back to rip the necklace off the poor lady's neck.

Serious scumbags out there working the area. Keep your family safe.

Feel sorry for your wife.

But just one more name to the "dangerous places in Bangkok/Thailand" list.

Not so old form R.B.:

All over Silom/Sathorn area?

Some lists of dangerous Sois in Bangkok are quite old and only 10 entries.

Must grow to the 100 I am afraid.

Was in the Canadian embassy two days ago and two young women were in to replace stolen passports due to similar, separate, thefts around Silom / Sathorn. One girl was on vacation and one was about to go to Cambodia to do volunteer work.
