Do not lump all Thais into one stereotype. As in other countries, there are various stages of decency in Thailand. Those bar girls working in Thailand are mainly from issan stock. Not all Thais are prudes and not all Thais are loose. However Thailand is still a conservative country steep in their culture and nudity in public is just a western culture not appreciated in Thailand. However when in their country, respect their cultural sensitivities or else go elsewhere. I believe Thais would not miss these type of tourists. -

Root canal prices in Thailand (and comparisons)
I think some dentists charge a special farang price, so it pays to look around. I had a root canal and crown for a wisdom tooth a few months ago (the bigger back teeth are more expensive than the front teeth. The root canal cost 8,000 Baht and the crown 9,000 Baht. I paid half this price about 2 years ago. -
