x265 HEVC

Featured Replies

Hello media experts.

Recently, my favorite TV show torrent is only offered in x265-HEVC. The latest version of VLC player doesn’t seem to work and I have also tried DivX player. I can get some sound and picture with both players, but its jumbly, out of track or sync (not sure the proper terminology).

Am I doing something wrong? Is there another player that works well?

I’m running Windows 7.

Thanks for any help.

Try Windows Media player classic.. Don't know if it works but it's renowned for some of the best codecs.

^^ No luck with that, but thanks.

What OS and version are you using?

There are special compiles of VLC or other players that support HEVC (under MPEG-H support)

VLC "Ricewind"

libde265.org VLC media player with libde265 HEVC video codec

MPC-HC download

I too am currently in media hell trying to find a player that works for my captured streams.

Best one so far is this one

VLC has been getting on my nerves, I had to turn off hardware acceleration.

What is your favourite TV show and where are you getting it from?
