Central Bang Na Thai Passport Office.

Featured Replies

Is the Bang Na Thai Passport office still in Central Mall? If yes, is it still on the ground floor in the rear or did it move back to 5th floor Garage?

It's not in Central Bangna anymore, it's been moved to Srinnakarin road, behind a shopping mall (I forget the name) on the Bangkapi side of the motorway, close to the big Four Wings Hotel.

Whats the turnaround time like? My mrs needs to go but she said she read online it takes all day as they are so disorganised but at chang wattana its just an hr....

Can anyone clarify the location of this Thai MFA/passport office (on Srinakarin Road)?

North of the motorway/Four Wings Hotel, and Thanya Park seem to be quite different locations.

Thanks.

edited to add: finally found something which looks definitive: http://bangkok.coconuts.co/2014/11/25/thai-passport-service-move-srinakarin-road

Thanya Park it is.

Chaengwattana is pretty good.

I went 2 days before the Songkran break, was in line for about 90 mins (to be expected that time of year) but they have a numbering system which works well. Once in, processing was done within 15 mins and the passport arrived the first day after sonkran, which meant that they processed it in 2 days rather than three which is the standard timeframe.

Two days at the busiest time of year is impressive in anyone's book.

They have express processing now too if you are in a hurry, including same day turn around.

Google translate from this webpage that lists all passport offices in Thai: http://www.consular.go.th/main/th/organize/21037-%E0%B8%AB%E0%B8%99%E0%B9%88%E0%B8%A7%E0%B8%A2%E0%B8%9A%E0%B8%A3%E0%B8%B4%E0%B8%81%E0%B8%B2%E0%B8%A3%E0%B8%AB%E0%B8%99%E0%B8%B1%E0%B8%87%E0%B8%AA%E0%B8%B7%E0%B8%AD%E0%B9%80%E0%B8%94%E0%B8%B4%E0%B8%99%E0%B8%97%E0%B8%B2%E0%B8%87.html

Just following up. The details in my post #5 above for this location are accurate and up to date.

Went today (Monday ~ 11:45 AM) got number 0548, current number served 0523, finished in ~ 8 minutes. Returning Wed. morning (2 days) to pick up passport. Very easy, simple, efficient, professional and quick.

Following up again.

Went to this same Thai passport office on Srinakarin Road this morning to pick up new passport. Took 2 minutes. Very easy and convenient.
