In case your ever in need of a GREAT book about this great place we live in. I suggest this one. Well written, funny and filled in allot of gaps, for me anyway especially in dealing with Thai's. Found in most larger book stores (travel section) :o Any of you other farang gals seen it?

It is an easy read and an extra good insight into the Thai psyche. Highly recommended.

There is apparently an updated version that was released in 2003. Culture Shock: Thailand the expanded edition. Didn't show up at Amazon dot Com, but it did at Powell's Bookstore. A local bookstore that takes up a city block and three floors.
