If I buy a Cyclo (pedal rickshaw) in Cambodia can I bring it back across the border either on a pick up or just pedal it across (Had Lek Border). It only cost 250 dollars. Would I have a problem?

A tubular steel rickshaw crossing a land border with a ferang at the helm? That'll be a magnet for immigration & you'll be in the shit if they find anything in the frame (no pun intended!)

You will not encounter any problems whatsoever. The temporary import of both motor vehicles and non-motorized vehicles such as bicycles into Thailand for tourism purposes is highly encouraged with almost no restrictions on their entry even if the Thais get shunned when they try to go into some neighboring countries to do the same. Non-motorized vehicles are generally an exception in most countries though, even ones like China which ordinarily don't allow you to just roll up at the border with a vehicle and drive where you want unless advance arrangements are made.

You can just pedal the bike in, if you want you could bring it on the back of a pickup but what kind of vehicle would you use? While both Thai and Cambodian vehicles can cross that border, unless you are bringing your own pickup across, you will probably not find a Cambodian taxi that will have the paperwork to cross into Thailand. Hence your best option will be to cycle across yourself. As of last year, the army was making cursory checks of luggage and/or vehicles crossing that border back into Thailand (but never when leaving) and then again about 1km from the border there is another army checkpoint which does the same thing. Even so, a bicycle, rickshaw, whatever almost certainly won't be looked at, even less if a non-Thai or non-Cambodian is riding it.

Can you buy these cyclos at the border? or are they only found in PP? They must weigh a tonne. Can you post a picture of what you are buying. I am interested to see what you get for USD250. Is it a new one from China?

Not new. They old and battered actually machined in Vietnam but parts are now scarce as most of those factories are closed.

Awesome. I doubt you would have any problem bringing one into Thailand. What are going to do with it? Will it be some kind of decoration? Using it to go 1km to the local market would i imagine be good hard exercise.

Not to mention lethal in Thai traffic.
