My usual shop no longer keeps them in stock. Benson & Hedges Cigs that is.

I don't need saving from myself nor being told how bad smoking is for me and everyone else.

However if anyone knows where I can buy them in the following places, preferably in this order, please advise me. Any of the 3 locations will do.

Sakeo Province

Bangkok (not airport duty free obviously) 1 carton allowed at a time

Pattaya

Thanks in advance for posting here or PM me.wai.gif

If you are into trying something else, the local brand Winston is fairly close to B&H, and @ 68 baht a pack, it's good value. Stay away from Krung Thep, they're ghastly and burn very hot.

Available at 7/11 and Tesco lotus.

LM are another good alternative. You can get the regular red ones or my preference these days is for the green menthol, but that's

whatever girls smoke.

Another good thing about the LM brand is they do a smaller cigarette sized version. They're a few baht cheaper (66 baht) than normal size.

Most Thais will have no idea what you're asking for unless you pronounce it 'El Em' with separated syllables, similar to ordering a bottle of 'Lee Oh'.

Good point, Squeege..."Win-TUN" (rhymes with big bum, with emphasis on TUN)

WinTUN, si daeng.

I also smoke B&H and let every friend who passes an airport bring cartons for me. They found out that when you arrive in Thailand you can still buy taxfree cigs in the king power. Perfect i have a big pile of cartons stock.

LM red is a very cheap quality compared to B&H. Also Thai marlborough is far from the real one like we have in Europe.

Take a stroll through Patpong and you will find small chair selling all the decent brands made in their respective countries.

All locally made cigs are inferior crap for 2 reasons

1.Under packed, ie burn faster, less tobacco , taste like crap

2. Tobacco of inferior quality and different processing, irrespective of license.

Just look at taste malboro made in Thailand and one made in U.S. or even Manila.

I'm going to ask the same. But now limited to 1 carton per person. I say this because they seem to enforce this pretty rigidly. The fine for having more is fairly steep.

Off to try Winston today and start stockpiling lol

Interesting. I thought they were the ones coming from poi pet / aran border market.

It is not allowed to discuss where it comes from or how it gets there, but the actual cigarettes come from USA, Germany etc.

I buy in large quantities( to last 6 months each purchase), so i do not think markets at poipet carry that much stock ;)

Been buying for over 10 years now :)
