14 year old saved from drowning on Jomtien Beach

PATTAYA: -- A 14 year old Pattaya Student is lucky to be alive after he went missing on Monday Morning in waters off Jomtien Beach.

The boy had gone to the Beach, opposite Soi 7 with 2 other friends who all study together at the Neun Plub Wan School in East Pattaya. The alarm was raised after the boy went missing and was feared drowned.

After 20 tense minutes a member of the public spotted the boy in the water and he was taken to the shore where he was resuscitated and began breathing straight away.

He was probably not under water more than 2-3 minutes. He must have been very lucky not to drown.

Nice to know there was someone around who knew what to do...
