Gsxr 600cc new usa import

Featured Replies

Maybe ask Suzuki Thailand or Red Baron, BKK. Otherwise search here for importing motorcycle into LOS and you will find a common line of advice.

Import duty - 60%

VAT - 7%

Excise tax - 5%

interior tax - 10%.

So about 750K with shipping and taxes.

Add in the hassles/costs of getting it registered you might as well buy a GSX-R 1000 for 799k.

Thx

Thats the point. Dont want 1000cc too big for me.

Cant get 600cc over here.

Taxes are crazy not worth it then.

Would be better get Ducatti or honda.

So how much dealers make profit then if they sells 100ccs for about 780k

Not worth hassle to import bike and make on it 20k is it..

As above, if it's a bike you already own then the problem you will have is registering it (unless you want to ride it unregistered, which probably isn't advisable).

i doubt they would get charged that amount if they were importing all the time, as mentioned above red baron normally has 600cc bikes in the shop if not they can get what you need. They usedto have a gsxr 600 in the shop not sure if its still there. I bought my 600 from them. There are other big bike shops in thailand i think bike59 also in bangkok may have.

Great idea...

That's what the government wants you to do:

"Would be better get Ducatti or honda."

Save yourself a world of trouble and let the government win the war and battle. They'll win no matter what...
