Buddy, you are amazing. Your resourcefulness and creativity in creating your own false parallel reality are mindblowing I never claimed to represent the Thai community. All I did was screenshots from the comment section of the Embassy of Israel in Thailand, which show a very clear and sane reaction to the representatives of a country which has just murdered 20.000 kids and is now whining about 9 of their own kin killed in a war they started. You immediately identified them as bots programmed by some evil Iranian internet experts but somehow have now moved on to the radical elements from extremist communities in South Thailand, who - God knows why - are the only ones who posted in the Embassy`s comment section. As usual like in almost all your allegations without the slightest proof. What a surprise, a soldier who was deployed to a conflict area where he fought and maybe even lost friends has no sympathies for the opponents. And because the opponents in this case are Muslims there is no doubt, who the bad guys are, right? What a wonderful and simple world it is, only that it isn´t. The whole problems began with the Anglo - Siamese treaty of 1909 between the UK and Siam which stated that Siam could keep the formerly conquered Muslim provinces Pattani, Narathiwat, Songkhla, Satun and Yala but lost other provinces like Kedah, Kelantan, Perlis and Terengganu which entered the British sphere of influence as protectorates. (sounds familiar, doesn´t it) In addition for not taking all those provinces British subjects shall enjoy in the whole extent of Siam the rights and privileges enjoyed by the natives of the country, notably the right of property, residence and travel but shall be exempt from all military service. However since then the Thai government started a forced assimilation process including imposition of Thai language, law and Thai-Buddhist cultural practices upon their Muslim society which is ethnic Malay, while not or only little investing in any development project like in the rest of the country, which subsequently led to the conflicts we see until today. This was just a very brief historical review explaining (not justifying) the tensions in the South of Thailand for those who prefer do their own research and to draw their own conclusions based on facts and do not want to leave the thinking to others. For those who do, here comes your version: They Muslim - they bad - killing them good. Despite fluently reading, speaking and writing Thai (the latter a bit rusty, I admit) and holding a PhD in Thailand I would never dare to see myself as a window of insight into Thai society. I only posted a few screenshots showing some of their opinions. But obviously you are as you exactly seem to know that Thai society gives a F about my (whatever that means) Palestinian Arabs, Iranians or the Europeans who want to tell Thai people how to live. You observed very well that Thai society gives a F about foreigners who want to patronize them, you only seem to fail to crosslink to my screenshots, because THAT is exactly what they prove. The Israeli embassy has tried one of their typical propaganda tricks, trying to pull Thais on their side by creating compassion for their losses and got a clear answer which could be summarized to: "Are you really so shameless that after killing tens of thousands of innocent civilians you now want us to whine for the 9 of your kin killed in a war you started?" Absolutely, my motives are purely selfish and to briefly explain them: I don´t want to live in a world where the mass murder of 70.000, most of them not carrying a weapon is called self-defense. I don´t want to live in a world where the record killing of journalists, aid helpers and medics and the execution of starving people lining up for food is justified with the right of a country to exist, while there was never the slightest threat to it´s existence. I don´t want to live in a world where we preach equality, law and human rights while the snipers of our allies perform target practice on children. I don´t want to live in a world where a 6 year old child has to beg for her life, only to be executed by heartless criminals who were later praised "war heroes". Do your friends know what those you are siding with have done? The abominations they have committed? I advise not to tell them given you want to keep them as in 30 year of visiting and now living in Thailand I´ve never met even one Buddhist who would support the intentional murder of the weakest and most defenseless of our society - our children.
