Healthy crop plants dying

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where one can get plants inspected and tested for bugs, poisons etc in Loei province? Had thousands of healthy bushy sacha inchi plants suddenly die off and have to find reason. Thanks in advance.

Hi Greg

Sorry this does not answer you question , I was looking for a crop to plant and thought about sacha inchi plants , but decided to go with asparagus instead .

Not far from me I spotted some one planting sacha inchi , and over the following months I watched the plants grow and look healthy and well cared for , I had not been by the land for a month but today I went by the land and saw this

As you can see most of the plants seem to have died and the rest look in a bad way , I don't know the land owner or whats going on but its a sad sight .

Did you managed to track down what your problem was ?

No we didnt come up with a definite. Think it was a combination of overfeeding nitrogen and not enough water in the hot weeks before the wet season hit. All ok now but had to replant about 4-5000.

Would love to know what happened to your neighbours plot though.
