"The Philippines is globally the friendliest country to migrants, while Thailand has the biggest number of xenophobic citizens."

I've not visited all the countries in the world so I cant comment on them, but of the countries in Asia that I have visited I would say that the above quote is perfectly true.

As for farangs being ganged-up on, yes it definitely happens here. But I cant imagine it happening so much in the Philippines, if at all. In fact in the RP I would expect many Filipinos to be on the side of the farang.

Very, very different cultures and people.

If you agree with the above, can you explain the reason for always increasing number of attacks and murder of foreigners in such a friendly, loving place?

Visiting Angeles City and hearing you are the sexist man does not translate into "friendliest" not to mention Angeles City is tightly controlled by 1 cop and gang to ensure foreign money is safe, otherwise city would be "out of business"

Step out side the safe zone and see how "friendly" Filo's are

That's a completely different situation. I didn't say that there are no murders or muggings in the RP, I said that you dont get gangs of Filipinos ganging up on foreigners just because they are foreign.

Here you get both things, and in spades.

That is complete BS. I'II punt not one farang has ever been attacked for no reason in a random situation.

Having seen a few wan-k-er farangs in action, Aus, Eng, USA etc

these guys come here with a superiorority complex and think they can blow over the puny Asians.

Usually get half full of plss, mouth off, whinge and swear as they think they are king of the castle and no-one would dare take them on.

Ive seen a few go down but more often in my experience Thais put up with a lot more than i would have ever withstood.

No sympathy whatsover from me. In most cases these DHd's deserve a lesson.

That also goes for the OP, if any of it were true he's omitted 50% of the most crucial part of the story,

so, for me, it has to be assumed its a case of another drunken obnoxious loudmouth having been correctly given his comeuppance!

Much safer here than where I come from.

If it were in Patyaya, then they aren't normal Thais, they are the riff raff.

The same thing can and does happen anywhere.

but i think police would interject about a physical assault in uk

The most violent country in Europe: Britain is also worse than South Africa and U.S.

im not arguing about that i'm just saying police would not turn a blind eye as op said

DO you want to try again?

Yes you do get gangs, ganging up, killing and robbing.

As i said, step outside safe zone of Angeles City and see how safe you will feel.

Actually, whilst I've visited just about every large and medium sized island in the RP, and spent half my time there for many years, I've never actually been to Angeles. Nor do I have any wish to go there. I went to Olongapo once and that was enough.

And I've always felt safe in the RP, as indeed I do here.

Putting aside your "experience" being in total contradiction to what other posters here and everywhere else saying. You also seem to know about Thai owned businesses ethics yet never worked a day in Thai company or with a Thai.

So do forgive me for not believing a word you saywai.gif

You are welcome to believe what you like.

My personal experiences will remain entirely unaltered by your beliefs.

Don't feed the troll. coffee1.gif

i'm not trolling, all my experiences in Thailand have been good except this one. I've been here for 3 months and really enjoy Thailand but if I get into trouble, I want to know that I will be safe!

The story about the 2 murdered Britian's backpackers on Koh Tao got me thinking due to the police not doing a good investigation.

dont mind them they dont know what the defition of troll is

you made a serious post and they call it a troll haha seriously people?
