Could anyone recommend one please - for minor alterations like shortening skirt length, taking in seams?

Not sure if this location is out of your way or not - but the cleaners I use recently did a nice job altering some pants of mine.

The cleaners are located just inside the side doorway (next to florist) at Tops Market in All Seasons Place (Conrad Hotel).

Go to the corner of Sukhumvit and Soi 4. Behind the police box a few meters down the soi on the left you will find a seamstress that does outstanding work.

Hi Spaniel, I went on the weekend but couldn't find it. There's a clothing and suitcase shop right behind the police box and others. Maybe they have moved or I missed it altogether as I was driving (although slowly)?

If you were there on the weekend then they may have been closed, almost certainly closed if you drove by on Sunday. Give a look during the week if you're in the area.

A helpful ThaiVisa member who PM-ed me told me about Fix & More on Sukhumvit soi 49. There are actually two seamstresses there at the Villa Market. I went with the one on the left as it was the first one I spotted. I pick up my things next week. Prices are on the steep side.

Walk down Soi 11 and turn left at Marshmallow bar and about twenty meters along on left side is a lady with a sowing machine. Really cheap and reliable. Been getting work done there for a number of years.
