Why do so many posters continually diss other posters?
So you came on this thread to diss Pattaya expats? This thread is about NOT dissing. You missed the entire point. -

Things you like about Thailand
It's not that. If you don't eat Thai food you simply don't fit in the country. The idea you can't, won't share meals with your spouse, gf, kid is boggling. The thing is it's probably 2nd best cuisine next to Italian so objectively the person really doesn't like delicious food in a general sense. It's the same everywhere. Hook up on a date and you have to pay triple, go to some farang joint that Thais just find totally unappetizing. I actually respect people that say hey .. I can't handle the heat. The ones that moan about hygiene should just gtfh. The thing is every farang says they love Thai food but in reality none do. That's a big lie. I'm exhausted of that bs fakery. This thread now pages long and no one mentions the food. Finally, food is very social and especially in Thailand. Also, you save so much money, so convenient, judging by the fatties I see about town exceedingly more healthy as well. I love Thai food. It's amazing for so many reasons. Yes, people that can live in a foreign nation on its own terms are in many ways better than the ouslanders that cannot. Burgers, aircon, toilet paper, taxis everywhere, zero Thai language. You get the drift... -

But @Yagoda is a great guy! I don't think I've ever heard him pontificating on fine wine, foodie restaurants, museums or any other pretentious elitist nonsense. -

Report Expat Confusion Grows as Thailand Cracks Down on Helmet Law Violations
Yep - that's exactly what it's about. But still, it is what it is. I've rode MC for a whole lot of years. I don't ride without a helmet. Well, I have a few times, but I always feel very uncomfortable when I do. So I wear one. If you don't want to wear one - up to you. Just have the fine handy and don't complain if you're caught.
