MZurf
I think any reason is a good excuse to charge Suthep. Let him scurry back to the temple. this is a typical way how left-liberal fundamentalists deal with those who speak against them. and where are your sacred "freedom of speech" and "Law is above all"? lol You really must get back on your meds. You're coming across as mentally unstable with your left-liberal this and left-liberal that rants.
rubl
@rubl. I was making a comment in regards to your junta loving brother robblok which included and I quote " These guys were seen on stage inciting the redshirts to burn BKK down." Now I ask you, what does that have to do with Suthep? Well, thanks for the friendly words, really appreciate that. Mind you, Rob is only a fellow countryman, not a brother. As for the 'junta lover' part, you can stick it where you want. Regarding the quote, well, it would seem that relates to the defamation case. With the case in progress and with the peculiarities of the defamation law I won't go into details, but the OP mentioned Suthep referring to terrorists and so in relation to the 2010 'activities'. May be something like "do you folks really want these nice 'burn it down' fellows as your representatives?'. BTW if you start a post with @rubl I may not see it. Too many posts and only so little time. Cheers, uncle rubl

MiKT
Suthep has done much worse than say 'bad things' about his political opponents... The defamation laws are a joke. For those with "pull", it's just another version of LM. (btw, I would be extremely surprised if the courts convict Suthep on this one... just sayin') The 'worse thing' are totally irrelevant to the case here, even circumstantially. As such you seem to defame Suthep, imagine. Oh, by the way, are you in Thailand at the moment. Its impossible to defame a slimball like Suthep, there are no words bad enough. Roll your eyes at that . What the hell does it matter if he is in Thailand or not. Suthep is known world wide as a traitor and a murderer. Really? So he has been charged and found guilty of being a traitor and a murderer has he? That would be the only reason that he would be known world wide. Perhaps I have been asleep like Rip Van Winkle for the last few years but I don't remember that actually happening. Do you have any links, references, newspaper articles and the like to back up what you have said. If not perhaps it is only in your mind and in your opinion that he is guilty of those offenses. Of course saying what you have said without any proof of the allegations must be close to slander or libel, but don't worry, Suthep doesn't care about little people like you today, but one day perhaps he will. Of course it has not happened! You really must be RVW, the charges against him for murder have been surpresssed and the general has denied his public statements re a pre coup conspiracy. Gģgģgg. How long have you been in Thailand with your head up your ..... that you are not aware of his roll in ordering the deaths of many unarmed protesters and his role in tratorously overthrowing an elected government? Like it or not these are the facts. By the way I don't appreciate your thinly veiled threats. Get back under your bridge. You might refer to the criminal court having thrown out the charge of "premeditated murder as private persons". THe 'crime' of having ordered the military to 'shoot me some' while being a private person who doesn't have any authority. The court suggested the OAG follow the more appropriate channel of the Supreme Court for Political Office Holders. That court is now dealing with a charge of "abuse of power". Anyway, the topic is defamation, not of Suthep, but him defaming others, allegedly. It would seem Suthep may have made some too clear suggestions that the "burn down Bangkok' crowd should be seen as unfit to represent peace loving people even if wearing red-shirts. Oh and thanks to PTV broadcasting those UDD leader shoutcasts, at least the reference to 'burn down Bangkok' can't be called defamation. Only the part that such people might be called terrorists. djjamie
Defamation is the communication of a false statement that harms the reputation of an individual person. The only people harming the reputation of the red shirt terrorist leaders are the red shirt terrorist leaders themselves. Nattawut Saikua, UDD Secretary-General, said on the red-shirt stage on May 19, “If you gain control, we will burn places all over Thailand”. The dark sky will turn red, red like blood. Jatuporn Prompan, Red Shirt leader, Bangkok, April 10, 2010. Of course these terrorist leaders being skilled liars will no doubt deny they said the above because facts are an inconvenience to them. Just like the separation (Lanna Republic) denial even though the terrorist leaders were recorded on youtube promoting it. They still denied it even with evidence on youtube. What next? Suthep will be charged for defaming a duck by calling it a duck! Edited August 18, 2015 by djjamie

So it has never happened but YOU know it is all true and YOU have the proof? You don't believe the PM when he denies things, you don't believe Suthep. What do you believe then? Sorry I am only a short timer with only 22 years in and out of Thailand. How about you? How did he traitorously overthrow a government? Because he and thousands of others held protests against the Government at the time? You could say the same about the Red Shirts in 2010 because they held protests too. So what should ANY government do when it has an armed insurrection held in its capital city? I did not threaten you in any way at all and if you took it that way then you did. Also you still did not answer my question which was "Do you have any links, references, newspaper articles and the like to back up what you have said. If not perhaps it is only in your mind and in your opinion that he is guilty of those offenses?" You did however take the time to attack me which was not that polite of you. ramrod711
Wow Suthep told the truth for once and now is being prosecuted for it. These guys were seen on stage inciting the redshirts to burn BKK down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBDm-jA3N80 Exactly, it isn't defamation if it's true, well, at least in most countries.
