Injections -when will they end?

Our child is 3 years old, I am constantly surprised by the hospitals claim that he needs another stage in yet another vaccine. Surely the line has to be drawn somewhere."

I provided you with the Thai immunization schedule.

If the hospital is not adhering to the schedule then ask why . If the answer fails to satisfy the solution is to go elsewhere. Be sure to ask if the Thai schedule is adhered to.

There are some small differences due to Thailands risk profile. For example Thailand has a high incidence of TB and therefore children are given BCG. The lower risk of TB in Western countries means children are not routinely given the vaccine.

​Another vaccine offered in Thailand but not in the West offers protection against Japanese Encephalitis which again is prevelent in Thailand particularly in rural areas where pigs are farmed.

​I have yet to meet the child who enjoys being vaccinated. But consider this................ would you rather have an upset child for 5 mins or a child permanently disabled (or worse) by a vaccine preventable disease?

Not exaggerated at all, just the facts for the family.

My pal isn't entirely unhappy, council provided him with a house, money, and he never has to work again.

Gets to claim unemployment and social, without any requirement for him to look for work (cheaper than the SS providing the family with a carer).

Yes its true that no child enjoys vaccinations, it doesn't help when the hospital doesn't give you any info, hence the point of the post in the first place. I am better informed now and will speak to the relevant doctor the next time I see him.

Child 1: In a Car, in a Child Car Seat - Car has an accident - Child Tragically Dies.

Child 2: In a Car, no Car Seat - Car has an accident - Child Survives.

Scientific Conclusion: From such a small sample group of two children, no Valid Scientific argument could be made.

However, some will still draw the conclusion that Car Seats are dangerous which is of course incorrect.

Another....

Child 1: Drowns While Swimming

Child 2: Drinks Water - Dies in Adulthood

Scientific Conclusion: From such a small sample group of two children, no Valid Scientific argument could be made.

The genuine response comes out when they follow up on their convictions and do not give their child a Polio or TB vaccination...

For those who'd refuse, I'd suggest arguments are useless for the only person more idiotic than an idiot is the idiot who argues with him... but it is a real shame and perhaps it should be illegal that they are putting their children at such a risk.

I refused TB when I was a teen, also stopped my kids having it in the UK.

Side effects too worrying.

Polio, we all had, couldn't find any problems with the vaccine.

MMR, completely pointless, had mumps and measles as a kid along with everyone else.

And if you were to fight a case for it, it's only potentially damaging to pregnant women, so argue for girls to given it at puberty, not everyone.
