PoolHustler
I went to immigration to extend my stay by one year on 19th August , my 1 year finishes on 19 september 2015, They took all paperwork and the money no problem and told me to come back on 19 September. all good. My question is can I travel out of the country for a few days (3rd to 7th Sept) and still use my multiple re-entry permiton my return and not lose my extension renewal. Thanks
KhunBENQ
my 1 year finishes on 19 september 2015 If this date is also shown on your reentry permit than you are fine. So you did not get an "under consideration" stamp in the passport? Are you on retirement extension or marriage extension? elviajero
Was it an extension for marriage or retirement? The reason for the question is due to the possibility of a home visit during your under consideration period. If it was for marriage then, if I were you, I would inform the immigration office of the dates you will be out of the country. I had a home visit last year and they said that if I wasn't at home when they called that the extension application would be cancelled and have to be started over.
