Can someone explain to me the best word to use in the following phrases

- The bag is lost - I usually use หาย

- The person has recovered from the illness - I usually use หาย

- The bag is found - ???

Seems to me that หาย has 2 different meanings which are opposite in definition!

Not completely 2 different meanings.

When the illness disappears, one recovers. Can you see the derivation?

The bag is found = พบกระเป๋าแล้ว
