peterpop Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 I regularly walk in the foothills of Doi Pui behind Wat Prattet Doi Kham and have recently noticed a closure of the Valley Cafe and proliferation of signs that , I am told, refer to National Park encroachment. I wait to see the outcome of this move that is presumably motivated by the Army as opposed to the local police who have done nothing for years.
LarryBird Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Yep, that is my understanding of what is happening there.
WinnieTheKhwai Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 What about the restaurant next to Valley Coffee, is that still open? I kind of liked that one, though food options have been less recently.

When I cycled passed that one a few weeks ago it looked closed, no water in the pond anymore and nobody around. A shame I really liked the Khao Soi at that place.
Sparkles Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Another couple of "gems" are gone.........whose next ?
MESmith Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Another couple of "gems" are gone.........whose next ? If they are encroaching on NP, bulldoze them. Gems or not. But apply the law fairly & to everyone.
