BANGKOK: -- Queen Madonna will grace the stage of our own Impact Arena in February, in what could potentially be the biggest chapter of live music history in Thailand.

The pop legend has announced she will bring her highly-anticipated “Rebel Heart” tour and sing classic hits such as “Like A Virgin” and “Vogue” to Bangkok on Feb. 9.

Madonna’s first concert in Thailand on next February 9



BANGKOK: -- Madonna, the queen of pop music, will hold her first concert in Thailand on February 9 next year at Impact Arena, Muangthong Thani.

According to Post Today online, Madonna’s Bangkok concert is part of her “Madonna Rebel Heart Tour” world tour.

Advance ticket bookings start on October 3.

The Miley Cyrus of the eighties....that should get some grandpa's heart racing.

While not a fan of hers, she does put on one heck of a live show.

I can't understand why a truly 'global superstar' is only playing a 16,000 seater when she could fill Hua Mark/National Stadium allowing less well off Thais the chance to see her perform.

I can see this being a $$$$ concert just laid on for the elite, HiSos and their cronies as was the Lady GaGa show last year (I'd be surprised if the cheapest seats start at less than 2000B) though, sadly excluding most 'ordinary Thais' (apologies for the clumsy phrase).

Pity.

She should take a leaf out of Iron Maiden's book when playing in the developing World. For their shows in India/South America they had the $$$$ seats for the HiSos then tickets from as little as the equivalent of 300-500B for the proles.
