How to collect a debt owed to you by a farang living in Thailand?

Featured Replies

I know someone in Rayong who can collect, if he thinks its worth his while. He knows Phuket very well.

Professional mercenary ex Marine, two Gulf tours etc

Why is it that I've never loaned $2000 to someone?... and then never got paid back?

It does not really matter who it is or where they are from,

If you lend money in Thailand, you have probably given it away.

The lesson could have been more expensive.

Just move on, and don't do it again.

P.S. Any foreigner in Thailand who needs to borrow money, can not afford to be here and should go home!

Do you know the visa status of the <deleted> owing the money? The reason I ask is that a farang in my area pulled off a scam owing about the same amount of money. The person scammed got to know that the scammer was on overstay, threatened to dob him in to Immigration - the money was returned within 24 hours.

My father use to say Lend money to friends and lose them. And only a fool and his money are easily parted, Believe me i think i9f something sounds to good to be true,

documentary about farrang scammer in Thailand worth watching

Hard to believe this guy traveled all the way over then did nothing.

He could at least have stuck some glue in the locks or something.
