I attended Nong Khai Immigration office today, and successfully applied to extend my stay (retirement) for another year. The whole process completed, including my new 90 day report, in under 1 hour. I applied 2 weeks early, to avoid any last minute problems. The IO cast a quick eye over my British Embassy proof of income letter, did the exchange rate calculation, and went on to look at my local bank statement printout showing monthly transfers from the UK, he marked these with a yellow marker, but did not seem interested in the actual amounts being transferred, just that regular international transfers were taking place.

They seemed very happy that I had successfully completed an online 90 day report, and asked if I would do the same in early December, even marking on the report the "window" of opportunity.

All IOs were in good form, all in all, a very pleasant experience.

I supplied all the requested paperwork, a copy of my yellow tabian baan included, I have not referred to the basic paperwork as previous threads, specifically about Nong Khai, were concentrating on financials. Last year, I was required to sign a form stating that I would receive a minimum of 65K baht, per month, from overseas, to my local bank account.
