Blepharoplasty - Where Is Best?

Featured Replies

My wife and I will be taking a 2 week holiday in Koh Samui early next year. While we are in Thailand my Asian wife wants to have blepharoplasty - upper eyelid surgery to make her eyes look bigger. I say she's stunning anyhow - but who are mere males to comment on feminine beauty?!

Does anyone have any experience/knowledge of this procedure being carried out in Bangkok (which we understand would be a better location than Koh Samui) and can you recommend any hospitals/clinics?

Thanks

what nationality is she?

The best work in this area seems to be done in Korea; most of the Thai double eye lid surgery is 'a bit rough' in my opinion, but that doesn't stop various people from continuing to do it.

Famed hospitals include yanhee and Bang Mod; the cost is far cheaper here, but if she has the more delicate Japanese/Korean single eye lid then she might be better off getting it done in Korea.

Both those hospitals should be easy enough to find on the net. I'd pin down who the surgeon is going to be and want to see their work; it is not an operation you want to screw up. BTW recovery period is not that long; a few days and should be able to fly back home; would do after going to the islands rather than before, unless she is a pale wallflower type with no intentions of swimming/sun bathing etc. If you are farang, then I am guessing that she is a bit more active than that, in which case do the surgery on the way back home, stay 3 nights then fly back or thereabouts. :o
