BuaBS Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Does it matter which head is on the note ? It's not real money , just a (ugly green ) piece of debt paper.
soalbundy Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 No British individual deserves to be on any bill. It actually upsets me that the US media and politicians give so much attention to the British Royal Family. People fled to America and fought a war to free themselves from the king and the royal family. To me they are nothing special only sponges off the people. and look where it got them, they are all dead now, should have stayed where they were.
webfact Posted September 17, 2015 Author Posted September 17, 2015 UK media loves the idea of a Margaret Thatcher $10 bill LONDON (AP) — Britain is abuzz with U.S. presidential candidate Jeb Bush's suggestion that Margaret Thatcher should grace the new $10 bill.Mock-ups of a $10 note featuring the former prime minister feature prominently on newspaper websites Thursday. Even the BBC couldn't resist, pasting an image of a steely-eyed, if slightly smiling, Thatcher onto the bill.Bush made Thatcher his choice during Wednesday's night's Republican presidential debate after candidates were asked their choice for the bill, which President Barack Obama has said will feature a woman."I would go with Ronald Reagan's partner, Margaret Thatcher," Bush said. "Probably illegal, but what the heck?"Thatcher, who served as prime minister from 1979-1990, remains a divisive figure in Britain. She is admired by conservatives in America for her friendship with the late President Ronald Reagan.-- (c) Associated Press 2015-09-17
soalbundy Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Does it matter which head is on the note ? It's not real money , just a (ugly green ) piece of debt paper. which everybody wants, sure beats sleeping on the street. An attractive bank note is a pleasure,it's a work of art, i liked the Swiss 100 franken and the German 100 DM best. The dollar notes and the euro look dull and soulless.
nikmar Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 That picture of her with her fist raised in triumph after sinking the Belgrano was a disgrace!! If you are going to use military force then use it completely with all its consequences or don't bother. .....and then pose for photographers, celebrating the killing of 300 odd people. It was a potential war crime.
onionluke Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Why not Kermit the Frog?Miss Piggy too fat, can go only on a bigger note.... but lassie as someone other posted......Americas most famous animal. Always honest and fighting for the good things. Better than any politician. Reagan and Bonzo . I could go with that , " hey mac , can you split a bonzo for me ?"
Shiver Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 In Britain, Thatcher was one of those Marmite people (love or hate, but everyone has an opinion on it). If you go to any town that used to be a coal mining area and ask their opinion, they'll almost certainly answer you with a question "are you taking the p1ss?" as they get up off their barstool ready for a fight. She ruined lives and families. If you go to a City then you might find people who admired her. I used to like the Netherlands money before the Euro, with pictures of the local wildlife. I think that would be better than dead presidents (or prime ministers from other countries). EDIT: On further thought, why not just put pictures of the head of the FED/JP Morgan or something, it would be more honest.
Suradit69 Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 And thats exactly why that moron will never become the POTUS...What an idiot To be fair, there are a whole host of reasons why that moron should never be president, many of them genetic. He also said his brother kept America safe during his (mis)administration, which might come as a surprise to the survivors of the attack on the twin towers, Pentagon, etc ... as well as the families of those who died while turning Iraq into a worse mess than it was before.
shaurene Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 And thats exactly why that moron will never become the POTUS...What an idiot If you had had someone like her running your country USA would be so rich with the money in Fort Knox. And she would not let the advisers run the country like all your other guys. She would do it her way. One of the greatest leaders of our time.
Pinot Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Those two answers, Thatcher and my brother made America safe, should have sent Bush to the showers. What a complete idiot. Stick a fork in the guy, he's done. As dumb as his bro.

The labour government nationalised the coal industry in the late 1960's and they had the first national strike in the coal industry. Then Ted Heath came PM in 1970 he inherited the problem. After Heath they voted Labour in again and Maggie came in in 1979 and inherited the labour shit they left again. Labour gave huge pay rises to the unions and stuffed the coal industry up, coal became to expensive to export. That's why all the mines started to close, Maggie took on the unions who f*^^*^d the country up, like the ship building and the docks. the country voted her in 3?times, in 1985 the country was very wealthy after all her cuts etc. That would not have happened if Labour where in Mate. Google the governments in from the early 60's and learn something. Oh, and she made all the councils to give the people the chance to buy their rented council properties with the "Rent to Buy. The labour opposition voted against this in Parliment but it went through. She gave the people more that the Labour did after she cleaned all the mess up they left.
pitrevie Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Good if you run out of toilet paper to wipe your arse. Thug Thatcher, the worst PM ever. Maybe but she sure sorted those unions out, i used to work as a tool maker in the UK but even as a working man the antics of the unions used to get on my nerves. I am all for her picture being placed on the £10 note then we can be reminded every time we look at one who it was who set the banks and financial institutions on the road to acting like casinos. If only Scargill could have dreamt that he could have done so much damage he would have become a banker.
Basil B Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Oh dear Tony must be really p____d off... all he did for his brother.
Acharn Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Why not Kermit the Frog? No, they've got their hearts set on it being a woman. Have to be Miss Piggy. Come to think of it, that would be pretty neat.

Some alternative ideas: Annie Sprinkle Dolly Parton Doris Day Jenna jameson If they want a foreign lady, how about a Sung Hi-Lee series, with the famous butterfly tattoo showing, of course. It might encourage saving (among men) rather than spending, in the short term.
Expat1 Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Sure. Thatcher on the $10.00 note. Mandela on the $20.00 (black vote). Ceasar Chavez (Latins) on the $5.00 and W. on the $100.00 (morons, which must cover rest of the voting public for the Bush's I am guessing).

Trouble Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Some of you people really take things a little to seriously.
Jingthing Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 By mentioning the Irony Lady, Florida Bushy was just trying to invoke Reagan, the republican "God" in the Reagan library.
JetsetBkk Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 By mentioning the Irony Lady, Florida Bushy was just trying to invoke Reagan, the republican "God" in the Reagan library. Yes, we know that, but I think there must be a lot of ex-miners or ex-dockers on this forum. Sorry boyos, but the country got fed up paying over the odds for your expensive coal.
Walter Travolta Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Good if you run out of toilet paper to wipe your arse. Thug Thatcher, the worst PM ever. Really? Why? Prey tell . . .
