Swiming pool in bangkok

Featured Replies

Hello people, i will move to Bangkok in about 2 weeks.

I usually swim as a daily routine to keep in shape ( nothing much, just like some people run i just swim for about 45 min ). And i was wondering where would be the ideal place for this in BKK ?
I'm just looking for somewhere where there's not 100000000000 people so i can swim in peace.

Cheers, shd.

There's a couple pools I've seen from the BTS... but they look like they're part of schools or clubs. The best place to swim would be the pool in your condo/hotel (Pool size was a big factor when we actually chose our condo). Also, not sure what time of day you're thinking, but nothing opens in BKK before 600 hrs.

I'd like to know which hotel pools are easy to sneak in to

Get a note from a quack in Bangkok and you can use the pool in Benjasiri Park...lovely open air 25m pool and almost always empty.

What area are you going to be living in Bangkok?

There's gyms with swimming pools like the Trinity in Silom-

Check out this excellent guide to swimming pools in Bangkok as well, plenty of choices.

The park indeed looks wonderfull, i'll be sure to check it out.

Its gonna be fun since i'm used to inside pools ( well europe is cold )

Wear a shirt, wear 50+ waterproof cream or swim when the sun is down. Even 30 mins exposing your back daily is a very bad idea.

I do 30mins per day at home. I've got used to wearing a 150baht Tesco 'performance fabric T-shirt. Even then I would look for something thicker if I was swimming in sun every day - mostly I do pre 8:00am or post 5:00pm. I suspect the performance fabrics can let some rays through.
