Chinese tourists celebrate China National Day in Chiang Mai

CHIANG MAI, 2 October 2015 (NNT) - The Chiang Mai Tourism Association has predicted that Chinese tourists who are traveling in Chiang Mai during this period will generate more than 400-500 million baht.

The tourism in the province is very lively since Chinese tourists are visiting the province from 1-10 October to celebrate the China National Day on 1 October.

President of the Chinag Mai Toirism Association Pornchai Chitnawasathien said there were around 3,000 Chinese tourists arriving in Chiang Mai per day. The average staying period was around 2-3 days per person and each of them spent around 5,000 baht per day, said the president. Mr.Pornchai therefore expressed his confidence that 400-500 baht would be generated from tourism during this period in the province.

Stay away from yellow-shirted foreigners bearing backpacks in highly public tourist attractions. And if they leave the backpack behind, run like hell.
