This is probably covered somewhere (but I can't find anything)....

Both our vehicles (small car and SUV) have been insured by Syn Mun Kong for as long as we have owned them. A friend is urging us to move to Thai Insurance.

Does anyone have any experience with Thai?

If you are happy with your current Insurers and been with them for a long time why even consider changing ? You have been an active Member here for 9 Years so unless there is a significant saving why even bother ?

Just my 2 Cents :)

Agree. Wife doesn't. Sigh

Is your wife paying? Is she a professional in the insurance field? I would assume not, so recommend you tell her to shut the fudge up and leave it to you to sort out.

If you change insurance companies ... do you loose your NCB?

Have you experienced the benefits of the NCB over the years with your current insurance carrier in Thailand?

The reason I ask is there have been many threads on TV that mention NCB's but more than a few indicate that the NCB as facilitated by any Thai insurer and compared with the NCB in the US, Europe and elsewhere, tends to be like many a TV members girlfriend and is 'different'.

I changed from AIG insurance to AXA insurance and retained the NCB that I was given by AIG - 40%, down from 50% because I had an accident that year.
