Try to start with some easy dishes like this one:

Fried beef.......

This dish can be made with chicken or prawns aswell.

When you make your own hame made Thai food you can "play around" with the amount of garlic, chili etc, you will find a way/taste which is suitable for you and your "customers".

Yes, I did and still do.........since more than 35 years now, I am a Chef.

Get your self the best equipment and the freshest ingredients, makes it a lot easier and some more fun.

My meat for all my dishes I cook at home I buy at good supermarkets, seafood from local fresh markets.

Enjoy your food.

gapow moo the way my missus makes it, she is not a bad falang food cooker now, the sausage rolls are good these days :o

I make pretty good tapioca with coconut milk. That's my favorite, but I do have a weakness for sweets.

I do a lot of Thai style cooking, as it's so much easier than trying to cook Western things. I do really good sweet green coconut curry, the one with chicken and those small Thai eggplants. The trick there is the proper balance between the chili paste, the lime leaf, the fish sauce and the basil. I learned by watching a Thai lady make it once.

To me the most important pieces of kitchen equipment are a good wok and some quality knives.

All Thai curries are my favs. I did do a course once on holiday which was useful. However a good cook book, common sense and a dollop of imagination can rustle up most things.

The most essential thai ingredient is a good fish sauce. Oh, and enjoy yourself!
