I knew some idiot who tried to speak ENGLISH to the Elephant...he got trampled...

we all know Changs are Buddhist and speak Thai

I was re-incarnated as an Elephant 234,529 times before I became Human

it's not a bad life....but man i hated those motorbikes....love bicyclists, however. remember that!!!!

I hope this idiot is charged with some offence. The Thai statute is packed with unenforced enactments. There must be something to charge him with.

They can't charge him with saving face, it's a pity Thai's dont understand that idiots on bikes should be punished ,this video should be shown at the beginninng of every movie shown in LOS.

A couple of AFP officers stopped at a property west of Canberra and talked to an old Aboriginal standing on the road. He told the old Aboriginal, "Morning sir, I need to inspect this land for illegally grown drugs."

The elder reluctantly said, "okay, but don't go into that field over there...", as he nodded his head towards the location.

The AFP officer verbally exploded & said, "Look sir, I have the authority of the federal government with me!". Reaching into his rear back pocket, the AFP officer removed his badge & proudly displayed it to the old Aboriginal. "See this badge?! This badge means I can go wherever I want, whenever I want................on any land! No questions asked, no answers given! Do you understand mate?"

The elder nodded kindly, apologized & went about his business. Moments later he heard loud - fearful screams; he looked up & saw the AFP officer running for his life, being chased by a large Bull. With every step the Bull was gaining ground on the officer & it was likely that he'd sure enough get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified. The old Aboriginal threw down his tools & ran as fast as he could to the fence & yelled at the top of his lungs...... "YOU’RE BADGE! SHOW HIM YOU’RE F###ing BADGE!"

policeman without a gun?! What a wonderful life you have there in Australia!

NAKHON RATCHASIMA — The man who who captured a tense pachyderm-on-motorcyclist encounter on video said Khao Yai National Park should ban big bikes as they are responsible for upsetting the park’s more important residents.

After his video of a cornered biker escaping death-by-angry-elephant with a wai and a prayer went viral, cameraman Andy Merk said a group of four riders on large, loud motorcycles were responsible for irritating the elephants, which nearly took out their frustration on another unlucky rider who just happened to come along on a smaller motorcycle.

“Big bikes are a serious problem in Khao Yai National Park; they are there for racing, not for nature,” Merk wrote on his Khao Yai News website today. “No other park in Thailand allows big bikes in, and in other countries they are banned as well.”

In the video he posted Sunday, a herd of angry elephants chases after a man on a small motorcycle.

They are responsible for upsetting less important residents too. Predominantly in the tourist areas. Ban the bloody noisy look-how-big-my-dick-is(n't) things, along with SUV's.

Big bikes can also be very quiet but many riders buy modified exhaustpipes which is the problem.

Noisy motobikes shouldn't be allowed in moobaans as well. Same as noisy cars with open exhaustpipes.

Elephants hate loud non-elephant noises as their hearing is very sensitive. It's widely known that wild elephants can become aggressive due to such noise. I believe in the bigbike theory. Their noise can even make me scared when they open all gas

Yup. I get some of these idjuts roaring past my window at all hours of the night, Why the police don't nick them or how they get relicenced beats me.

Good for the pachyderms!!

Not all "big bikes" are loud. My unmodified, strictly stock CBR 250 was not much louder than my PCX.

sure, i mean the ones that make loud noise deliberately (red in tachometer).

I came across a smaller herd just like that years ago on the road coming up with a Suzuki jeep, They started towards me, I backed my car, they stopped for a while and gave me a chance to make a quick turn and bolt, didn't get far that day, went right home and had a beer.

I would not do this with an elephant if he is no threatening me, sorry

actually I love elephants, but if I would have to choose elephant's life would cost nothing for me in comparison with my own life wink.png

I am the kind of person who don't retreat If I think I can win. If I meet a soi dog barking in front of me I never try to bypass it but use a stick or throw stones. A few times I had an arguments about this with dog's owners. but I don't care.

in this situation with an elephant I believe I can win. May be I am wrong, but I would definitely try. Otherwise I will not respect myself anymore. in my whole life I never allowed anybody - human or animal - to threaten me without repercussions (sooner or later).

and I am not going to start.

This is the best solution you have for soi dogs? Wave a stick and throw some stones. A sure recipe for being bitten. But then you say A few times I had an arguments about this with dog's owners. but I don't care. 555 A soi dog doesn't have an owner because it is a street dog. If you don't get attacked by the dog, I am sure one day you will be attacked by the owner. I hope I am never with you when an animal is attacking.. Giving a wai would give you a much better chance of not being attacked.

I did that many times and never been bitten. those soi dogs are much more cowardly than you think.

may be I used a term "soi dog" wrongly, but there are many barking dogs on sois, some of them have owners some of them don't - I don't care of this.

I am sure one day you will be attacked by the owner.

and I am ready for that also. but it's never actually happened yet. most of dog owners are women who would just shout. soon they stop when they see it does not work for me. smile.png

Giving a wai would give you a much better chance of not being attacked.

typical for a leftie ranting: "let's explain to Islamist that we are not threatening them, may be they will stop to rape our women and kids"

next time you will give a wai to an attacking animal and I will fight back, ok?

once I even killed a rabid dog with a shovel. if there were you instead of me there - wai'ing the rabid dog - you and your kid would be dead already.

if enemy doesn't give up he should be eliminated

Did the rabid dog bite you before you "killed" it?

Pity we cant ban people who believe they have godly status and believe the world should stop around them

There are no police in Australia that don't have guns. But bear in mind, that was an Australian bull.

the best solution would be take some gasoline from his motorbike, soak the cloth with it, burn it (if he has a lighter) and throw in the eyes of an elephant. all wild animals afraid of fire.

if I were him I would certainly do that.

one human life worth more than any number of elephants

It's great to hear from people who, sitting behind their keyboards, know exactly what to do, and what they would do, in situations like this.

Does anybody have a video camera and some gasoline? it would be fantastic to see footage of TimmyT demonstrating his brilliant strategy!

So, following your reasoning to its logical conclusion, if you are in the water and a shark attacks you, your instinctive response would be to attack the shark rather than get the hell out of there.

I don't know what's more ridiculous - that scenario, or staring down a full-grown elephant.

What a pity TV doesn't have an IQ test for people before they are allowed to post.

They shouldnt be allowed period. If the manufacturer doesnt fit them as standard then they are not really needed for the bikes performance

“No other park in Thailand allows big bikes in, and in other countries they are banned as well.” sorry, but big noisy bikes are allowed in all the parks in Thailand, all the streets, all the villages.

The Khao Yai road should, at the very least, be disconnected so that it is no longer possible to drive through from Nakhon Nayok to Pak Chong. This would eliminate much of the traffic which has no real interest in KY as a park.

At one stage they were contemplating building car parks at the entrance gates, closing the road to private cars, and making people ride up on electric cars. What happened to that idea?

Lots of wedding groups up there for photo shoots, and TV crews filming lost-in-the-jungle type dramas.

I wonder what the real purpose of the park is?

wow what a tuf guy, shake in my pachyderm boots

whilst the IQ test is a good idea if they did that we would be limited to sound intellectual dialogue, and we would be denied the opportunity to marvel at how drivel such as above can actually occur - wonder if he will throw sticks and stones at angry elephants… hope he doesn't call them names as well….

amazing.

You must be one of those weak, hopeless people with no self-respect, who retreat every time an elephant gets upset. Don't you think you can win? It's not like it was a whole herd—just a few elephant punks. You're the one with the gasoline; just get it burning and go for the eyes. Maybe they can't spell repercussions, but they'll understand who's boss. That's the best solution, anyway. While you're standing around tallying up the IQ tests, BANG, you've been trampled. Same goes for the shark. You have to face up to him, show him what kind of person you are. If you start getting distracted by ideas of escaping, RRRIP, there goes a leg.

This road should be closed to through traffic.

This is a big problem as there is no alternate route for about 50 km in either direction. The road connects Prachinburi to Saraburi and Korat.

It gets a lot of traffic for that reason.

It is also the only access road into Khao Yai national park, so closing it altogether would mean closing the park. But except on holidays and weekends, most of the traffic isn't park visitors, it is through traffic. Could be greatly reduced t if they built an alternate route somewhere nearby, but that would be a huge undertaking as it's all mountains.
