Hi,

Two questions.

1. Has anyone successfully used Krungsri's car finance services? If so, was the process straight forward or strenuous?

Is the 10% deposit requirement uniform for all customers or are there other caveats?

FYI, I am currently working in Bangkok with a WP.

2. Anyone ever used finance from used car tents? Worth doing or better of using reputable financial institutions?

I've been trying my best to resist the need for a car but with a family it has now become a necessity.

Cheers all.

Most tents/dealers have a "friend" in the bank where they get the biggest kickbacks.

My first car was also a 2nd hand (or 3rd or whatever) from a tent, financing by Tanachart.

So, just go to your favorite tent and ask them, maybe they get the bank guy to come to the tent (which I recall always happened as it's easier to get the kickback thing sorted :D).

Thanks, Gutenberg.

I'll do that. The tent I found seems to be from a reputable tent.

Do you recall the deposit amount you had to put down?

Cheers

I deposited 75,000 THB, 20% for a Vios.

Later I found out the car was in a crash (with a flip over) before and gave it back.

Will never buy a 2nd hand car again, although I am always looking at one2car's 2nd hand Cayennes :D

That's terrible. How did you find out about the accident? That's my main concern when buying a used vehicle in Thailand.

Thanks for the info btw.

went to the big branch at emquatier... last year.. left my details and what cars i was looking for..

guy seemed eager and wanted to work fast on it..

well.. that was last year..

they started bugging me and calling me a whole lot.. 3 ladies and finally 1 guy called me up saying they were following up on my request...

i told them all off.. multiple times.. saying i already bought a car.. tqvm....

but they don't seem to talk to each other no? seems like they just keep passing my number around as a 'pending' customer to follow up... likewise they have been calling my wife too!!

irritating!

Flip the car at 99% beating all the windows. look at the labels of car windows. they are usually much use different production year if the car is older than the 1-2 yaers.
