Migrant crisis piles political pressure on Merkel

BERLIN: -- German Chancellor Angela Merkel is coming under increasing domestic political pressure to find a lasting solution to the refugee crisis, which will see at least 800,000 people arrive in Germany by the end of the year.

On Tuesday it emerged that Berlin had reintroduced The Dublin III agreement on October 21, which states that each individual must apply for asylum in the country in which they first enter Europe.

The German Interior Minister Thomas de Maizière defended the decision: “The numbers, especially of Syrians, has risen to such an extent that no one could have seen in October. Circumstances have forced us to make adjustments.”

As well as sniping from within her own party the right has mobilised against Merkel’s refugee policy and the far-right continue to cast a menacing shadow and attack refugee shelters.

What a travesty that such a great humanitarian might suffer because other countries etc had the temerity to close their borders and resist an uninvited invasion that she started.

Even if she's kicked out of office it's hardly a fitting ' punishment ' for the problems she's caused.

The writing were on the wall, what sane country leader will allow so many needy and destitute foreigners

flood their country being a burden and a blight on the demographic and culture stability of a European

country,

Merkel has taken it upon herself to allow this to happened without going to the people first for their approval,

and she will pay the price as predicted, maybe Merkel was trying to atone for Germany's crimes against

humanity 70 years ago by showing to the world that Germany has changes, but this is not the right way

to go about it....

Sorry but how could they not apply for asylum in the first safe country they reach where they wont be persecuted? These penniless poor poor people. This article implies that they have desire to travel to welfare paradises, or countries their leaders have decided need an Islamic boost, and the money to do it. More of an army instead of desperate refugees if they travel through safe countries to achieve a specific goal other than their personal safety.

LL had a good article yesterday concerning 12 of ISIS biggest mass murderers and their current wherabouts using facial recognition software. Funnily enough mostly in Germany although some made it up to Norway and Sweden. Poor poor suffering desperate peoples they are. For the bleeding hearts, yes these men looked very happy indeed in their new lands of opportunity for violent crime.

This disgraceful woman and her party have now started the desruction of European culture, democracy and economic stability. I also note that overnight Sweden demanded Britain pay them money so they can invite more econmic migrants into that country. These northern countries always adopted a superior than thou attitude to the rest of the world. Now they are shown up as economic fools. Don't ask for help from the rest of us, you caused this mess, now sort the mess you caused out for yourselves. I also note that some strident members who belittled posts such as mine have now shut up, as the pure stupidity of what their countries have encouraged is now coming to haunt them.

'... it emerged that Berlin had reintroduced The Dublin III agreement ...' Apart from the agreement being an EU policy, hence Berlin being in no position to reintroduce anything, I wasn't aware it had ever been discontinued ... simple ignored.

Bacon...pork sausages...there, I said it, I'm not scared.....there won't be any in Europe soon.

They should change the name of the euro to 'bacon rashers', see how many want to come there then?
