Westly's Tire Bleach and/or Prepsol

Featured Replies

Looking for Westley's Tire Bleach and/or Pepsol/Diosol. Does anybody know where to find in Thailand. Or equivalent.

Since Spray Nine seems to be a common substitute maybe look in that direction?

I had no idea what this is, so googled it smile.png

OK, you want something to properly clean your tires I guess?

In that case, there's a couple of suggestions I can make:

1. Meguiars Super Degreaser - makes light work of getting tires squeaky clean, and is a great engine bay cleaner as well.

2. Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner - does a similar great job on tires, but as the name suggests has a multitude of other uses too - everything from cleaning leather to carpet.

Meguires might work. What I am actually attempting to do is clean release mold from a resin scale model car. In the US we use Westley's Tire Bleach for this. Is Maguires available in Thailand and where? Thanks.

You'll find several Meguair's vendors here: http://www.thaiwashercarclub.com/forum/index.php?board=26.0

Hmm. a tricky problem. I've only done two. Lighter fluid but don't soak it. just wipe it. Then Fab laundry detergent and a toothbrush. Then used plastic primer sold for car bumpers, it is clear. But I am sure regular rattle can primer would be OK.

Don't use alcohol facepalm.gif I have ruined one that way.

There must be modelling websites that can tell you?

Yes, I belong to 3-4 modeling forums. They all tell me to use products that are not available in Thailand. Some puirple power degreasers may work also, but I don't recall ever seeing in LOS. Different model mfg use different types of mold release also. So what works on one model, may not work on another. I did one with household bleach and then dish soap. and it came out just fine. But the 2 models I'm doing now are not cleaning up with just bleach and dish soap.
