What I miss the most is dairy. It's expensive and quality is pretty low, supply almost none.

I also miss hazel nuts, wall nuts, plums, pears, apples, some bakery stuff, flour(whole spelt, rye ...), olive oil ...

A bit pricy or hard to find in a small city.

Some western food, goods in shops, might seem a bit expensive here, especially for europeans, because in EU foodstuff is massively subsidized.

For example(central and eastern Europe)

1L of whole milk: 18-20 THB

curd, 250g: 22 THB

1kg gouda cheese, 48%: 145 THB

On the other hand meat and sea food is cheaper.

Key to happiness in Thailand is well equipped kitchen.

I always fly business class so I get a 40kg luggage allowance...never pack any clothes, at home I'm usually nekkid most ob de time anyway...

While it's not suited for transport to bring to thailand, but if I were in farang land, I would eat lots of Doener Kebab ( Germany ), In & Out Burger ( USA / California ). Yeah yeah, I know....Junk food. But I still like it.

I am quite happy with everything else available here....at times its <deleted> expensive, BUT, it is available.

Can't find any Branston Pickle here.Great with a cheese sandwich.

It depends on where you live.

I just bought 2 jars today at Villa in Udon Thani. It is available in any Villa store at 179 thb.

I also went into the Tops supermarket and the same size jar was 209 thb.

As a French guy, I miss only one thing : cheese ; I know I can buy some in Makro , but I don't accept to pay 500 bahts or more for a litte piece of cheese

by chance, there is a BIC market near my home, and when their products are almost out of date, they sell them with 50 % discount and Casino cheese is

good even if there is not much choice ( 360 sorts of cheese in France ) ; with a warm baguette, it's ok

Well I'm am from the UK, so it's going to be UK biased

There is a very old joke you've probably heard:

Heaven Is Where:
The French are the chefs
The Italians are the lovers
The British are the police
The Germans are the mechanics
And the Swiss make everything run on time
Hell is Where:
The British are the chefs
The Swiss are the lovers
The French are the mechanics
The Italians make everything run on time
And the Germans are the police
