TripAdvisor’s top 20 in Asia

BANGKOK, 16 November 2015: Three Thai destinations figured on the rankings of the top 20 most popular destinations in Asia for US travellers, according to TripAdvisor’s TripIndex™ Asia.

Chiang Mai came in fourth after Jakarta, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and ahead of Bangkok which was in seventh place and Kathu in 10th slot.

The TripAdvsior index was assessing travel trends and costs for the November through to April season in Asia for US travellers.

Just back from a 2 week holiday in Vietnam: Hanoi; Halong Bay; Phu Coch; HCMin. The Halong Bay trip was the best 3 days of holiday I have had in the past 73 years. I was staggered at the smiling level of service everywhere + high English skills. I will return permanently if I could.

Thailand (after 9 years) can not compare/compete.
