Man given life imprisonment for sexually assaulting and murdering a 7-year old boy



BANGKOK:-- A man who sexually assaulted and killed a seven-year old boy and dumped his body in a fertilizer sack at a mountain in Wang Sapung district of Loei was today (Tuesday) sentenced to life imprisonment by the Criminal Court.
The court earlier sentenced the defendant, Mr Nui, to death but commuted the sentence to life due to his confession.

Nui told police during the investigation that he found the victim at a kathin fair at Wat Sri-udomwong on November 10, 2013, took him in his motorbike to Phu Pha Sing mountain where he sexually assaulted the victim and later killed him. The body was then put in a fertilizer bag and dumped at the mountain.

Before his conviction today, Nui was sentenced to life imprisonment the rape and murder of a 13-year old girl in Bangkok.

Child serial killer and rapist handed third life sentence

BANGKOK:-- "Nui", the man who confessed to raping as many as 10 children and killing four of them, received another life imprisonment today for a case where he raped and killed a 7-year-old boy in Loei.

Nui, also known as Ting Tang, doesn't possess proper identification documents. He was initially sentenced to death by the Criminal Court on Tuesday morning but due to his confession his punishment was commuted to life imprisonment.

On Nov. 10, 2013, Nui reportedly lured a 7-year-old boy from a fair at Sri Udomwong temple and then raped and murdered him. Nui confessed after he was arrested for the infamous rape and murder of 6-year-old "Cartoon" near BTS Bearing in December last year, leading the police to connect the cases.

This is the third life imprisonment sentence for Nui. In March, he also received a life imprisonment term, commuted from death for the rape and murder of Cartoon, who was left alone in her parents’ pickup truck. In July, he received another sentence for the attempted rape and murder of a 4-year-old girl whom he lured from a Red Cross fair in Loei province on in Feb. 5, 2013.

The verdict was delivered at the Ratchadapisek Criminal Court Tuesday. The convict reportedly confessed to raping and murdering the boy during police interrogation, and even provided a map to where the boy's corpse was hidden, but then denied the crime in court.

The court however found him guilty and initially gave him a death sentence for the boy's murder as well as several years in prison for other counts before commuting all sentences to life in prison.

I hope Thai prisoners are as 'ethical' as those in the West and this guy spends the next 30 years being the punchbag for the prisoner population for his horrendous crimes against Children. Is this man is not eligible for reduction of sentence under any pardon schemes.

Either this guy is a reincarnation or if I have read this right he was walking around free after already having been handed down 2 previous life sentences??? How in the world was he out of prison with already 2 life sentences. They should have gone with the death penalty the first time and would have saved 2 young lives. Totally shocking judicial system!!

It`s already known and proven that he committed the rapes and murders, so what`s the point of all this confession crap.

But does bring into question the sentence of a 22 year old railway worker sentenced to death for the rape and murder of one young person, is it more about public opinion than justice.

This case begs the obvious question,why do we give these people a life sentence,when we know there is no way of proving they will ever be safe to be let back into the world ever again.

There is a far better and more humane way of dealing with this,which does not need too much discussion.

I doubt he will survive 30 years. If he really did what is alleged then I don't have much sympathy for him. I don't really want him tortured. But some mad dogs just have to be put down, so I would support a quick execution

what the devil is going on in this country the law is an absolute mess a man gets life imprisonment for murder but is free to kill again when he should have been in prison serving his time this is absolutely appalling.

Unbelievable how no one has killed him already.

That is the problem...

Where fault lies here is the system that has released a prisoner who was not safe to release into the community.

In the UK the sentence of life has a minimum tariff so if a judge sentenced someone to life for murder with a minimum tariff of 15 years, that means it would be 15 years before the parole board would consider an application for parole, then parole would only be granted if it was considered safe to release the person into the community and they were reformed, prisoners may reapply but maybe turned down every time they apply and die in prison, even then if a prisoner is released on licence the life sentence is not spent, it is for life and as such the prisoner may at any time be recalled to prison for no reason.
