I understand the new Navara will have a new rear setup for foreign models - will we get that in Thailand ?

The Double cab is also the only model to boast new independent multi-link rear suspension, giving the ride a more comfortable feel than the Chassis and King Cab models that feature a rigid leaf spring.

All Thai models have rear leaf springs, unlike export versions.

The description quoted in the op is incorrect. The Navara rear coil suspension is not independent. Its just a solid axle with links, similar to the PPV's, as shown by the photo in this article https://practicalmotoring.com.au/car-news/2015-nissan-np300-navara-technical-details-explained/

I recall the same independent confusion with the Trailblazer.
