ISOC to propose counter terrorism plan to cabinet

BANGKOK, 26 November 2015 (NNT) - The Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) will propose a counter-terrorism plan for the year 2016 to the Cabinet as the issue is now a worldwide concern.

This has been revealed by Deputy Director of the 3rd Operations Coordinating Center of ISOC Lieutenant General Ong-art Chawanwiwat. Speaking at an ISOC workshop on counter terrorism and transnational crime, Lt-Gen Ong-art said the workshop would find ways to protect the country against all types of terrorism through integrated efforts from all government units.

The counter-terrorism plan to be adopted will be used as a guideline for all related units.

The Lieutenant General said transnational crime remains an ongoing threat to every country despite serious preventive efforts. He added that it was important for every nation to be prepared in dealing with all forms of terrorism.

Can't wait to hear what their plan is.

An obvious candidate for platitude adjustment

"(ISOC) will propose a counter-terrorism plan for the year 2016 to the Cabinet as the issue is now a worldwide concern."

Maybe ISOC should also propose an anti-human trafficking plan as well!

It was in September 2015 that arrest warrants were issued for army Col. Nattasit Maksuwan, Captain Visoot Boonnag (also spelled Boonnak) and Captain Santhat Petchnoi who all belonged to ISOC. In September 2015 Boonnag turned himself in and initially detained at Nathawee Provincial Court.
