Star Wars & Other easter eggs hidden in Google search function

Those guys as Google are not adverse to some fun and have placed a nifty Easter egg in celebration on the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Just type ‘a long time ago in a galaxy far far away’ and be opened up to the page going black and the iconic Star Wars scroll appears.

Easter eggs are increasingly a common stunt used by Google, and indeed other search engines.

Type ‘do a barrel roll’ into Google and watch as your search engine screen starts to spin.

Ask Google the answer to the question of life, the universe, and everything and, in a tribute to “A Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy,” you’ll get the number 42.
