Although I have been on TVF for many many years and just setup my second membership (a month ago or so) account, because I had NO idea what my old one was after not login in for 2+ years.

Besides that I have been a receiver of the TVF Newsletter twice a day (4x2 times different addresses) and therefore did go through many members topics and TVF selected news bullitions.

For the past few weeks I have notice it gets more and more less interesting, especially the members post section.

To be BLUNT, TVF has gotten boring after all these years, maybe it is just me. God I hope so, because I hope all you other people still enjoy and love it here.

Yes, it's you, TVF has something for every one, and lots of up to date informative information and in-put

by young and old, newbie and seasoned members,

it's really what are your interests to read or contribute to the debates, advises and information sharing....

In the few years I've been here, I noticed it's getting meaner and more polarized, and there's a lot more detritus to wade through to get to the worthwhile nuggets. Sadly, many of the nuggets are only available here, so wade I do..

And it doesn't help that it's taking looooonger to download with more intrusive ads...

Start some threads. Let's see what people think. Take the ball and run with it so to speak........What's on your mind?

I just read it as a time filler, but i do have a chuckle to myself reading the posts of the more prevelent posters who mostly have nothing to add except the nit picking vitriol as demonstrated in the above posts.Seems to me a lot of posters need a sense of humour transplant.

Not talking about threads, it is the NewsLetter that got less interresting.

I never bothered with the threads, just what the NewsLetter provided.

My guess is the new owners got a new NewsLetter boss

Well NewsLetter Boss, in my opinion, your are <deleted(I did that, not TVF)> , because not allowed to say here

The members threads in the NewsLetter (FEATURED TOPICS) used to be 10-15-20 links long.

Nowadays lucky if it comes to 10 links. Today AGAIN it is 8 links long, most very uninteresting. They look more like News Bullitions

Sorry new TVF bosses, I call this POSITIVE, CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM.

unless you are Thai and care about the losing face shit/crap.

Well if not reading TV for two years and then comming back to read the same type of news stories just with a newer post date on it, then yes it could be said to be boring.

But no different from not watching the days of our lives or upstairs downstairs for two years then comming back to the same old boring story.

I find it amusing to read the same stuff over and over.

So my advice is, take some happy pills that will make you see that the glass is half full and get back into those same old posts thumbsup.gif

A guy I know had exactly the same situation, couldn't remember is log in details so opened up another account. It was only a matter of time before the powers that be realised he had two accounts and promptly evicted him from the TVF. I wouldn't worry about it.

p.s. it's been nice knowing you.

No its not just you and I have been around for a longish time and even before I became a member I was an avid reader of the many varied and interesting topics and info that was in the early days the norm

The sub forums are a draw to those who are interested in them and that is great but the general and the Pattaya forums have of recent times shown a paucity of interesting threads and posts, maybe this is because of the time we are living in but I do feel that many of the old original posters have gone because of the negative and malicious minority having too much to say!

I could add more but it would mean talking about "moderation" so maybe it is best to say nowt!

Duplicate or multiple accounts are not allowed on Thai Visa.

If you are receiving the newsletter from your previous member name, then you know the email address used and obviously its still valid.

You should contact "[email protected]" by email, quote your email address for that account and you can be given the member name and reset the password.

I thought it was actually getting better.

Me too. Sometimes you can actually have a decent grown-up discussion for a few pages now without anyone spoiling it. I don't know whether the more disruptive elements left of their own accord or if the mods are to be thanked, but the place has definitely improved.

Yeah. The days of getting stabbed to death within 6 posts by a bunch of narcissists are gone, and frankly I don't miss them.

I do miss the "old school" humor though. (and I am definitely not referring to the rodent mob).

Just the funny stories,,,

Sorry Trans. I edited my post after you quoted it. That is an offence.

I owe you a beer and you owe me a song.

It is a decent forum. I have made some good friends here. We disagree at times, but we still respect each other.

It wouldn't be much of a forum if we all agreed. As long as we're willing to accept that others have differing opinions, it's all part of the fun.

I have to whole heartedly disagree with that SB.

There used to be a guy on here (mostly finance type posts) who had no problem replying:

The reason that you disagree with me is that you are too stupid to understand what I'm saying.

BTW as per the above, I remember Catechism where they would talk about the Infallibility of The Pope but I don't remember them saying anything abut Moderators.
